What Is The Goodtimes Project?

“The Goodtimes Project was formed in late 2013, and exists to ensure that the legacy of a no-charge camp would remain available to families dealing with the emotional and financial cost of childhood cancer. Camp Goodtimes creates caring spaces for local families to connect and kids to be kids, through camps, events, and programs. They serve families throughout Western Washington and Alaska with a goal of providing cost-free programming to help them reconnect with a world beyond their diagnosis.”

Why We Support:

Camp Goodtimes is a no-cost pediatric oncology camp for patients and siblings affected by cancer. The Goodtimes Project has welcomed over 250 campers a year from Alaska and Western Washington, ages 7-17, for two weeks of traditional summer camp, and a week-long kayak trip (ages 18-25) put on by a dedicated staff of 150 volunteers and two paid employees. Camp Goodtimes is a summer camp located on Vashon Island. During the 30+ years Camp Goodtimes has been in operation, it has helped meet the physical, psychological and emotional needs of thousands of young cancer patients and their families. The Goodtimes Project is dedicated to seeing Camp Goodtimes continue to provide this amazing experience.
